On May 9, 2019, the US House of Representatives’ Manufacturing Caucus, held a briefing on Growing Manufacturing Communities and the Defense Industrial Base. The panel highlighted the work of the Illinois Defense Network and the Peoria Region.
The Caucus featured local leaders and national experts on the Defense Manufacturing Communities Support Program. The Program is an outcome of the 2019 National Defense Authorization Act and the HR 2264 Make It In America Manufacturing Communities Act.
