Manufacturing And Supply Chain Forum Recap

The Greater Peoria Economic Development Council (GPEDC) was excited to sponsor the Illinois Defense Industry Network (IDIN) Informational Session for regional suppliers.

In conjunction with partners from the Quad Cities, Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC) and the Illinois Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) at Bradley University, we were able to bring greater awareness to our regional suppliers on the IDIN Phase II program while also instructing them on how to enhance their readiness to work with the Federal Government and how they can participate in the effort.

Suppliers were also given an overview of the Greater Peoria Manufacturing Network and how those members have engaged in Federal Business opportunities.

This event was put together with these objectives in mind:

• Reach out to regional suppliers to bring awareness of the IDIN Phase II program
• Educate regional suppliers on workforce solutions that are available to them
• Provide a networking opportunity for GPMN members and regional suppliers
